North Eastern Region के लिए यह norm ₹3.50 lakh per inmate और Northern Himalayan Regions के लिए ₹3.25 lakh per inmate है।

PM-AJAY के तहत पिछले 5 वर्षों में कितने Hostels Sanction हुए?
Government के 4 August 2026 के official update के अनुसार financial years 2021-22 से 2025-26 के दौरान PM-AJAY के hostel component के तहत 90 hostels sanction किए गए हैं।
इन hostels से कुल 10,649 Scheduled Caste students को benefit मिलने की क्षमता बताई गई है और इसी अवधि में States तथा Union Territories को SC hostel construction के लिए ₹198.50 crore release किए गए हैं।
4 August 2026 का PM-AJAY Update
4 August 2026 को Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment ने PM-AJAY के Adarsh Gram और Hostel Component की progress से संबंधित जानकारी दी थी।
इस update के अनुसार 29 July 2026 तक PM-AJAY के Adarsh Gram component के तहत 17,067 villages को Adarsh Gram घोषित किया गया था और education domain में 2,65,509 beneficiaries covered थे।
इसी update में बताया गया कि पिछले पांच financial years में 90 hostels sanction हुए, 10,649 SC students को benefit मिलने की क्षमता बनी और ₹198.50 crore construction के लिए release किए गए।
