Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayat Elections 2026 – Phase-wise Schedule

The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission (APSEC) has announced a three-phase schedule for the 2026 Gram Panchayat elections. Polling is scheduled for November 26, November 29 and December 2, 2026. Counting of votes and declaration of results are scheduled on the respective polling days. Repolling, if required, will take place on the following day.

The elections will cover Gram Panchayat Sarpanch and Ward Member posts across the state. The phase applicable to a particular Gram Panchayat will be determined by the official election notification and the schedule issued by the concerned Returning Officer or Election Officer.

Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayat Election 2026 – Phase-wise Polling Dates

The three polling dates apply to different groups of Gram Panchayats. They are not three alternative dates for every village. Voters should check the phase assigned to their Gram Panchayat in the official local election notice.

Phase 1 Gram Panchayat Election Schedule 2026

The first phase of Gram Panchayat elections is scheduled for November 26, 2026. The notification and nomination process will begin on November 13.

Phase 2 Gram Panchayat Election Schedule 2026

The second phase polling is scheduled for November 29, 2026. Candidates in the Gram Panchayats assigned to this phase should follow the separate notification and nomination dates listed below.

Phase 3 Gram Panchayat Election Schedule 2026

The third phase is scheduled for December 2, 2026. The election notification for this phase is scheduled for November 19, followed by nominations, scrutiny and withdrawal according to the dates below.

Gram Panchayat Election 2026 – Posts and Coverage

Gram Panchayat elections are conducted for village-level local government positions. The main elected posts include Sarpanch and Ward Members. The election process also provides for the election of an Upa-Sarpanch by the elected members through a separate meeting.
