PMAY New List 2026-27

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) supports eligible households through rural and urban housing programmes. If you want to check your name in the PMAY beneficiary list for 2026-27, first identify whether your household falls under PMAY-Gramin (PMAY-G) or PMAY-Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0).

Official PMAY portals

Important: The 2026-27 financial year does not mean that every applicant will automatically appear in a new beneficiary list. Availability and selection depend on the scheme, approved targets, application or survey records, and official verification.

What Is the PMAY Beneficiary List?

The PMAY beneficiary list contains household or applicant records selected or approved under the relevant housing programme. The list and status available to a household depend on whether the application falls under the rural or urban component and on the records maintained by the competent authority.

PMAY has separate rural and urban programmes:

  • PMAY-G: Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin for eligible rural households.
  • PMAY-U 2.0: Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 for eligible urban households, implemented through different programme components.

A name appearing in a survey or preliminary list does not necessarily mean that a house has been sanctioned or that financial assistance has been released. Check the official status and approval details.

How to Check the PMAY-G Rural Beneficiary List

Rural applicants should use the official PMAY-G portal and its reporting or beneficiary services. Available report names and navigation may change as the portal is updated.

  1. Open the official website: Visit pmayg.nic.in.
  2. Find reports or beneficiary information: Look for AwaasSoft, reports, beneficiary details or the relevant rural housing reporting option.
  3. Select the location: Where the report permits, select the financial year, state, district, block and Gram Panchayat or village.
  4. Open the available list or report: Review the household names and details shown by the official service.
  5. Check the beneficiary record: Compare the displayed details with your application, survey or household information.
  6. Contact the Gram Panchayat if needed: If you cannot find the record or the status is unclear, ask the Gram Panchayat or Block Development Office to verify the official record.

How to Check PMAY-U 2.0 Urban Status

Urban housing applicants should use the PMAY-U 2.0 portal. The portal provides scheme information and an eligibility checker. The precise status or beneficiary information available depends on the application and its processing stage.

  1. Open the official PMAY-U 2.0 portal.
  2. Read the scheme details and use the eligibility checker if you are assessing whether your household may qualify.
  3. Follow the official application instructions for the relevant state, city or local implementing agency.
  4. Use the status or application tracking facility if it is available for your application.
  5. If your application details or approval status are not displayed, contact the urban local body or implementing agency where the application was submitted.

PMAY-U 2.0 has four programme components: Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Affordable Rental Housing (ARH), and Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS). Eligibility and benefits depend on the applicable component and its guidelines.

Who May Be Eligible for PMAY?

Eligibility differs between rural and urban housing programmes. Meeting a general condition does not guarantee selection or approval.

PMAY-G rural households

  • Eligible rural households identified under the applicable selection and verification process.
  • Households meeting the relevant housing deprivation and exclusion criteria.
  • Households included through the applicable approved survey, priority or waiting-list process, where relevant.
  • Applicants whose records and eligibility have been verified by the competent authorities.

PMAY-U 2.0 urban households

  • Eligible urban families covered by the applicable PMAY-U 2.0 guidelines.
  • Households that meet the conditions of the relevant programme component.
  • Applicants meeting applicable income, existing-house ownership and previous housing-assistance conditions.
  • Applicants whose applications and supporting documents satisfy the prescribed verification requirements.

Check the latest official guidelines for your programme component. Income limits, ownership restrictions, exclusions and document requirements should not be assumed to be identical for every PMAY component.

Documents and Details to Keep Ready

Depending on the scheme and stage of the application, the authority may ask for some of the following:

  • Applicant name and household details.
  • Application number, survey reference or beneficiary identification details, if available.
  • Aadhaar details and required authentication, where applicable.
  • Bank account or post office account details for approved assistance, where required.
  • Income, residence or household documents specified under the relevant component.
  • Land or property documents where the selected housing component requires them.
  • Other declarations or documents requested by the competent authority.

Only submit documents through official channels. Do not share OTPs, banking PINs or passwords with people claiming they can guarantee inclusion in the list.

What If Your Name Is Not in the PMAY List?

  1. Confirm whether you are checking the rural or urban scheme.
  2. Verify that you selected the correct state, district, block, Gram Panchayat or city, where applicable.
  3. Check your application or survey reference and the latest available status.
  4. For PMAY-G, contact your Gram Panchayat or Block Development Office and ask whether your household is recorded in the applicable survey, priority list or waiting list.
  5. For PMAY-U 2.0, contact the urban local body or implementing agency handling your application.
  6. If you believe the record is incorrect, ask the authority about the prescribed correction, grievance or appeal process.

A missing name does not automatically establish rejection or ineligibility. The record may be pending, unavailable in the selected report, under verification or outside the currently approved list. The competent authority can confirm the actual reason.

Does the PMAY New List 2026-27 Guarantee Financial Assistance?

No. Finding a name in a survey, provisional list or report is not always the same as receiving a final sanction. Financial assistance depends on the applicable scheme rules, verification, approved targets, sanction status and other required conditions.

Do not pay an agent who promises guaranteed approval or demands money to insert your name in a government list. Use official government portals and authorised offices for all enquiries.
